Accra – A Ghanaian woman has married her dog because it has qualities she had seen only in her late father. Emily Mabou, 29, of Aburi, married the 18-month-old dog in a ceremony attended by a traditional priest and local, curious villagers, reports the Dai...ly Dose. Her younger brother David Mabou said her family boycotted the wedding which they felt was “a stupid step to combat her loneliness”. But Ms Mabou said: “For so long, I’ve been praying for a life partner who will have all the qualities of my dad. My dad was kind, faithful, and loyal to my mum, and he never let her down. “I’ve been in relationships with so many men…, and they are all the same… skirt-chasers and cheaters. FIELD DAY FOR LIVESTOCK FARMERS IN KERICHO ,KENYA

The kericho regional Veterinary Investigation Laboratory has announced a field day for all livestock farmers in the region.This is intended  for the farmers to interact with the laboratory personel and other livestock experts and learn how to maximize livestock productivity.

The theme of the of the event is utilizing Laboratory Technology and the Environment to exploit Animal resource for Food Security ,Agribusiness and Poverty Alleviation.

The event will take place on the third day of the month of June the year two thousand and eleven from nine o'clock in the morning to three o'clock in the evening at Veterinary Investigations Laboratory Compound in Kericho town.

BUS BURNS DOWN IN A GARAGE IN KERICHO TOWN,KENYA

A bus that belongs to a transport comapny in kericho town called Tiroto caught fire and burnt down completely.

This happened at the famous Nyota garage in the town while body works experts were working on it .It was aid that the heat and sparks from the welding machine that the garage staff were using might have been the cause of the fire .The inside of the bus was completely destroyed except for the lower part of the bus,from the window levels downards.

The municipal fire engine got to the scene  just in time before the fire got into the staff houses on the one storyed building.They managed to put off the fire intime before the fire destroyed the houses.

The Tiroto company transports school children and company staff around the town on hire.

CUSTOMER RUNS AWAY WITH A PHONE FROM A SHOP IN KERICHO KENYA

A man who posed as a potential customer ran away with a phone from a shop just opposite the Tuskys supermarket shop in the town .

The shop keeper told us that the man asked to see the phone saying that he intended to buy it but the moment the phone landed in his hands ,he took to his heels leaving the public stunned by the sudden turn of events.

BY the time the shopkeeper and the public came to realise that he was a thief ,he had already disappeared in the streets behind the Tuskys supermarket .He went with the phone and was never found.
